K2 Residential Solutions has employed a very special and inspiring person with Down syndrome named, Zach for the past 3 years. He works in our office 2 days a week completing various tasks ranging from stocking the fridge, watering plants, putting stamps on envelopes, getting office supplies for coworkers and even providing daily weather reports for our field employees. Zach is an extremely hard worker with huge aspirations of becoming the future CEO of our company. Zach has touched the lives of all his coworkers and he has continuously enhanced the quality of life and morale at our office. It is now our turn to help improve the lives of those with special needs.
It is through Zach and his extended family that K2 first learned about this project. When we heard that Stepping Stone Communities/Trailhead Community had the vision to build housing for those with developmental disabilities, we knew we were in a unique position to be able to help with our skillset and experience in building multifamily housing. Furthermore, when learning the statistics regarding the huge lack of appropriate housing options for adults within this community in our own backyard, we knew this is something we had to be a part of from the ground up.
K2 looks forward to breaking ground and getting this project underway. We are grateful to all of our team members, trade partners, and other relationships that have helped donate both their time and their money to make this vision a true reality.
